A UNIVERSAL vaccine that could protect against whole families of viruses is being developed by scientists, using AI.

Viruses typically evolve over time, so jabs blocking them become less effective and have to be updated constantly.

But teams at Cambridge and Southampton universities have created a jab that can also provide immunity against future mutated versions of viruses.
