Soldier F verdict date fixed

THE judge presiding in the trial of Soldier F will deliver his verdict next Thursday on whether the former paratrooper is guilty or not guilty of murder and attempted murder on Bloody Sunday.

Following a five-week hearing at Belfast Crown Court, the non-jury trial concluded yesterday.
Prior to this, Judge Patrick Lynch KC rejected a defence application to have the case against Soldier F thrown out.
