She's helped her dad on his window cleaning round, now Greaves is out to sparkle at Ally Pally

- BY MIKE WALTERS

READY STEADY BEAU

BEAU GREAVES has been a glass act ever since she worked on her father Dave's window cleaning round.

But now the only ladder she wants to climb is the PDC order of merit - and tonight she could burst through the skylight at Alexandra Palace.

For the first time in a so-called battle of the sexes, rising star Beau 'n' Arrow is odds-on with the bookies to beat No.22 seed Daryl Gurney at the PDC World Championship.

Superchin won the World Cup of Darts for Northern Ireland with Josh Rock six months ago and he is unlikely to be flattered by such insolence, but 21-year-old Greaves is seriously talented.

When Fallon Sherrock shocked Ted Evetts and Mensur Suljovic at Ally Pally six years ago, few thought it would take a former window cleaner from Doncaster to lead the charge for women's darts to take the next steps.

That's not for Greaves to answer, but now it's all systems Beau. The three-time Lakeside women's world champion will be joining the PDC circus in the New Year armed with a Tour card - and won't be out of place.
