Jim lines up behind Carrick

- STEVE RAILSTON

SENNE LAMMENS has revealed Michael Carrick got the seal of approval from Jim Ratcliffe after Manchester United's dramatic win at leaders Arsenal.

And the United goalkeeper (inset) claims Carrick's back-to-basics approach is behind their stunning upturn in form folthe lowing sacking of Ruben Amorim.

United won 3-2 at the Emirates thanks to a stunning late goal from Matheus Cunha, which condemned Arsenal to their first home defeat in the Premier League this season.

Club co-owner Ratcliffe (right) attended the thriller along with United CEO Omar Berrada and director of football Jason Wilcox.

And Lammens admitted it was inspiring to see the United hierarchy showing their support for Carrick.

"I just saw him there when we came out of the dressing room," said Lammens of Ratcliffe.

"He was talking to the coach.
