Pressure is mounting on Harris

AS weeks go, it's been a tough one for Tanaiste and Fine Gael leader Simon Harris.

Losing his party's presidential candidate, Mairead McGuinness, has been a tough enough blow. She was seen as a very strong contender to win the race for the Aras and early polls even had her way out in front.

So finding a replacement for such a good candidate creates a headache for Mr Harris.
