YESTERDAY was a day of joy and relief for the Middle East as peace reigned in Gaza and all remaining Israeli hostages were freed by Hamas.

US President Donald Trump went on something akin to a victory lap as he soaked up praise for brokering this ceasefire.
But without wanting to burst his bubble, he should know history is littered by many false dawns in so-called peace accords between Israel and Palestine.
