Hundreds mourn 'Garda push' deceased at funeral

THE funeral mass of a man who died after an incident with a garda heard how he was caring, intelligent and always went out of his way to help strangers.

Paul Butler, 51, died on August 18 three days after a horrific incident outside the Holiday Inn on O'Connell Street, Dublin. He hit his head off the concrete and passed away in the Mater Hospital from his injuries.

A member of An Garda Siochana was arrested by Fiosru, the policing watchdog, in relation to the tragic death.
