Ryan 'happy' to see Kielty take over as he prepares to host final Late Late.....
RYAN Tubridy has said he is "really happy" RTE's has chosen Patrick Kielty as his successor as Late Late Show host.
Ryan, who has fronted the Friday night flagship show for 14 years, will present his last edition on Friday with President Michael D Higgins among the final guests.
Father of-two Patrick, who is married to British TV star Cat Deely, will take over from Ryan after weeks of intense speculation over who might land the Late Late gig.
Ryan told his RTE radio listeners yesterday: "I'm really, really happy about this choice. It's a great decision.
