DESSIE HUTCHINSON hasn't been short of motivation to carry into Ballygunner's record-breaking campaign.
The four-time Munster Club champion revealed he was stung by suggestions that the 12-in-a-row Déise champions were a team in decline.
In a post-match interview on TG4, he referred to “a certain Clareman saying we were a dying team”.
That man, Anthony Daly (below), has since clarified that he tipped Ballygunner to win Sunday's provincial final against Eire Og Ennis, while noting he didn’t use the phrase “dying team”.
