CALLUM MCGREGOR joked he relegated Kieran Tierney's World Cup wonder goal to fourth best last week.

The Celtic leader's brilliant winner against St Mirren on Saturday night managed to put some smiles on club faces in terms of the on-park action.

It was an absolute peach in a game seriously lacking any quality.

And it was up there with the one bagged by McGregor's pal Tierney a week ago in the thrilling success over Denmark at Hampden.

Scott McTominay and Kenny McLean also notched unforgettable pearlers in that national-team success.

Although he's retired from the Scotland scene, McGregor (inset) smiled and said: "I felt like I had to get involved by scoring a banger!
