Comic helped singer beat coke demons

ROCKER Noel Gallagher beat his cocaine addiction - thanks to comedian Billy Connolly, a new book claims.

The Oasis rocker, who plays Croke Park this weekend, was finally able to quit after a chance meeting with Billy in Harrods, according to author Colin MacFarlane.

In his book Sir Billy Connolly: King of Comedy and His Famous Pals he wrote the guitarist had spent his days watching DVDs of 'The Big Yin' who was his favourite comic.
