Bayindir reveals the close bond between himself and Lammens in fight to be No.1

ALTAY BAYINDIR has lifted the lid on his relationship with Manchester United goalkeeping rival Senne Lammens and their battle for the No.1 spot.

United boss Ruben Amorim said Bayindir and Lammens will fight for the right to be first-choice keeper, following Andre Onana’s season-long move to Turkish side Trabzonspor.

Deadline day signing Lammens has moved above Bayindir to claim the No.1 spot after an impressive debut in United's 2-0 win over Sunderland before the international break.

That assured display means Lammens keeps his place for United's trip to Liverpool a week on Sunday.

Despite their rivalry for the keeper’s jersey, Bayindir was among the United players to congratulate Lammens on his debut and revealed the pair are close.
