MEP's ban call as EU opens probe into Al

ELON Musk's Al app Grok which allowed users to create deepfake sexual images should be “immediately suspended", an MEP said yesterday.

It was announced yesterday that the European Commission has launched a probe into the tool.

Global pressure has been mounting on Musk after sexually explicit fake AI images have been shared of adults and children.

EU Commissioner for Tech Sovereignty Henna Virkunen said the inquiry will determine if X has met its legal obligations, “or whether it treated rights of European citizens including those of women and children as collateral damage”.
