WELL lads, it’s the end of another year - and you'd have to be an optimist to bet against the next 12 months being even nuttier than the year we've just survived.
It seems that ever since the momentous year of Covid in 2020, the times we live in have been getting stranger and stranger.
I mean, things were getting pretty weird even before the pandemic upended all of our lives.
For starters, millions of Yanks had already fallen for the most hilariously obvious con man ever to walk around in shoe leather.
They voted Donald Trump into the White House and watched him blunder and spoof his way through the pandemic, telling people that they should take horse medicine or inject themselves with bleach.
