Strictly's Karen on pro partner

- BY NICOLA METHVEN TV Editor

STRICTLY Come Dancing winner Karen Carney says her friendship with pro partner Carlos Gu was no American Smooth at first.

The former England and Arsenal player said they got off to a bumpy start on the BBC One show because they had nothing in common.

Karen, 38, said: "I never thought when I started he is someone who would turn out to be so special and important to me. When we met, we had nothing in common. Nothing.
