MIKEL ARTETA insisted Pep Guardiola remains the best coach in the world despite Manchester City’s rough patch.

Arsenal boss Arteta worked under Guardiola at City before taking over at the Gunners almost six years ago.

City went trophyless last season for the first time since Guardiola’s debut season at the Etihad and have already been beaten by Tottenham and Brighton this campaign.

But fellow Spaniard Arteta heaped praise on the ex-Barcelona boss ahead of the crunch clash between the two sides.
