Angus reminds everyone of his class after summer of discontent

GOING GREAT GUNNS AGAIN

ANGUS GUNN was injured, without a club and unsure if or when he would play for Scotland again.

So to say the big keeper's future was up in the air this summer would be a massive understatement.

But against Denmark in Copenhagen on Friday night, he got his reward. Gunn's previous appearance for Scotland was a disaster for all concerned.

In June, he had decided to leave Norwich at the end of his contract and was out to impress in a Hampden friendly with Iceland.

Instead, Gunn hobbled off after just seven minutes.

He was replaced by young Cieran Slicker, who had a debut to forget as Steve Clarke's side lost 3-1.

But Gunn's pain was not just physical.

Mentally, he had to deal with the fact that clubs were unlikely to sign him when he was not fit.
