Firm's flagship adventure and multisports watch Fenix 8 Pro now includes 4G calls, messages, live tracking, satellite texts & SOS connectivity for when you're off the grid

Garmin Fenix 8 Pro was launched late last year as an enhanced and upgraded, slightly larger and slightly heavier, version of the already outstanding Fenix 8 flagship multisport watch for adventurers.

An ultra-premium 51mm model with an innovative microLED screen and the most outstanding battery life is the top-of-the-range option, but I've been testing the 47mm AMOLED screen variant which still offers battery endurance to embarrass many competitors' smartwatches.

With the always-on display enabled, Fenix 8 Pro lasts for up to nine days, while you can get more than two weeks of stamina by using the raise-to-wake display instead.

There is a builtin flashlight on the top of the Fenix 8 Pro's casing, which is very useful and bright, and the watch also has a mic and speaker.

The usual array of sensors are also present, including a barometer and a pulse oximeter, and it has the firm's top Elevate v5 optical heart rate sensor, which allows you to take ECG measurement.
