Garda and five others arrested in missing cannabis probe

A SPECIAL Garda unit has arrested a serving member of the force - as part of a probe into the disappearance of €100,000 worth of cannabis from a station.

Sources have told us the officer was arrested by detectives from the Anti-Corruption Unit in the Leinster area yesterday.

He was being held in a Garda station in south Leinster and can be detained for up to seven days. This station is not the one where the drugs disappeared from. This officer is being held under organised crime legislation.
