'Fat' Andy's mansion goes under hammer

A MANSION once owned by slain criminal "Fat" Andy Connors goes under the hammer today - and is likely to be sold for a fraction of what it was once valued at.

The mansion - called The Villa - is to be auctioned online with a minimum opening bid of €380,000.

That's a far cry from the €3million which prolific burglar Connors - shot dead in August 2014 - put it on the market for in 2005 after he had settled a tax bill with the Criminal Assets Bureau.

The house is being auctioned after CAB secured a high court order against Connors' widow Ann for €2.5million in February 2017 as part of an investigation into his finances.
