Tina says soap good for grieving

THE Snapper star Tina Kellegher said working on Fair City has helped her cope with the “awful void" of losing her mother.

Her character Ger Lynch, who had been in Spain, returns to Carrigstown next week to ruffle more feathers.

Tina, 58, told the RTE Guide: "My two sons were very happy I was there to feed them all the time so why would they be trying to get me back to Fair City?

"But seriously, they knew if I wanted to go back, I'd set that ball rolling myself.

"They were very supportive. I used to talk to my mam about going back to Fair City.
