'ERE TO WIN

JALILA MORIVIERE will be expected to defy top-weight in the Cheestrings Irish EBF Mares Hurdle when the traditional, seven-day Harvest Festival meeting in Listowel kicks off tomorrow.

Trained for J P McManus by Willie Mullins, this six-year-old Jushua Tree mare, previously in the care of Paul Nicholls and Daniela Mele in France, has triumphed three times and, rated 136, sets a decent standard here.

Successful on the flat and over hurdles, and listed-placed over flights in France, Jalila Moriviere has run four times for the Closutton team - landing a three-runner conditions event at Limerick on her second start for the stable.

And she has performed creditably in two subsequent starts, in handicap company, filling fourth spot in a race won by stable-companion Hey Sunshine (two and a half miles) at the Punchestown Festival early last May.
