Wolves boss insists he is enjoying the challenge of managing Molineux misery

- BY IAN BAKER

ROB EDWARDS insists taking on the Wolves job was no mistake despite Christmas misery descending on Molineux.

The former Luton head coach controversially walked out on promotion-chasing Middlesbrough to take charge of Wanderers last month. But he has lost all six games, Wolves have lost 11 in a row and have not won in the league since April.

The old gold and black’s two points is the joint-lowest Premier League tally at Christmas.

Not only that, but there appears to be a disconnect between fans and players amid a toxic atmosphere at Molineux.

“You're not fit to wear the shirts,” chanted the Wolves faithful. And then captain Matt Doherty appeared to publicly question his side's courage after this latest defeat. But when asked whether he had any regrets on his move to a club close to his heart, Edwards was defiant.
