Trump trolls Iran after 'weak' attack on US airbase

DONALD Trump has just announced a “total ceasefire” between Iran and Israel.

Posting on his social media platform Truth Social, he wrote: “CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE! It has been fully agreed by and between Israel and Iran that there will be a Complete and Total CEASEFIRE (in approximately 6 hours from now, when Israel and Iran have wound down and completed their in progress, final missions!), for 12 hours, at which point the War will be considered, ENDED!”

The US President added: “Officially, Iran will start the CEASEFIRE and, upon the 12th Hour, Israel will start the CEASEFIRE and, upon the 24th Hour, an Official END to THE 12 DAY WAR will be saluted by the World.” Israel or Iran had last night yet to comment.

It comes after Tehran fired missiles at a US military base in Qatar, which prompted fears of further escalation.

The retaliatory attack followed Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s regime's threat to send 50,000 American troops “home in coffins” after Trump ordered the bombing of the Fordow nuclear site over the weekend.

Last night, Iranian state media announced the country had begun its “mighty and victorious” response to the US strikes. The state-run Tasnim agency said Iran's Revolutionary Guard launched missiles at US bases in Qatar and Iraq under the name “Besharat al-Fath” (Glad Tidings of Victory) - causing explosions over the two countries.

A statement added: “The Islamic Republic of Iran, relying on Almighty God and the faithful, proud people of Iran, will never leave any aggression against its territorial integrity, sovereignty, or national security unanswered.”
