Businesses blackmailed by 'professional reviewers' in online extortion attempts

BUSINESSES are being blackmailed by “professional reviewers” who demand hundreds of euros to have fake one-star reviews removed.
Dublin-based cleaning company Happy Clean said it has recently been the target of an online extortion bid.
After receiving one-star Google reviews, the business received a message on WhatsApp from a “Peter” with a Pakistani phone number. The blackmailer was demanding payment for these reviews to be turned into five-star reviews.
