Rodgers has had enough strife & wants to focus on title defence

BRENDAN RODGERS is determined to draw a line under the Celtic civil war and get torn into the trophy chase.

The Hoops boss held crunch talks with under-fire chief exec Michael Nicholson after his blockbuster press conference on Friday where he laid bare the club's failures in the transfer window and slammed the 'cowardly' club insider who briefed against him in a newspaper article.

Rodgers was tight-lipped on his desire to whack-a-mole following yesterday's dramatic lastgasp victory against Kilmarnock.

And he insisted the focus is fully on football after his side pulled three points out of the fire with Kelechi Iheanacho's controversial stoppage time penalty.
