Rytting Kaneryd fires a treble in goal rampage

JOHANNA RYTTING Kaneryd grabbed a first career hat-trick as Chelsea fired a stunning nine-goal warning to League Cup rivals Manchester City.

Sonia Bompastor's side set up a semifinal clash with City next month as the WSL champions' Sweden midfielder hit a second-half treble to outclass injury-ravaged Liverpool.

Chelsea could even afford to make seven changes as they rounded-off their 2025 fixtures in style.

The League Cup holders were four goals to the good by halftime as Wieke Kaptein and Aggie Beever-Jones added to an early double from Sam Kerr.

Sjoeke Nusken and Millie Bright joined in the fun after the break as Chelsea routed a side they'd laboured to a 1-1 draw against in the league last month.
