Alex: Body was trying to tell me something

With a personality as bouncy as her trademark curls, Strictly star Alex Kingston admits it was her sunny outlook that led her to miss the signs of womb cancer.

The former ER actress was finally diagnosed in 2024, and had a hysterectomy and radiation therapy.

Now she is speaking out to urge others to take their symptoms seriously.

Appearing on the cover of Prima magazine, the 62-year-old says: "Because I'm such a positive person, even though my body was trying to tell me that something was very wrong, I wasn't reading the signs.
