ACCUSED DENIES 31 PARADE CHARGES

THE man accused of driving a car into scores of fans at Liverpool's victory parade wept as he appeared in court yesterday.

Paul Doyle, 53, denies 31 charges including GBH and dangerous driving after more than 100 people were injured.

The former Royal Marine broke down after entering his pleas via video link from Belmarsh jail in South London.

Members of his family also wept in the public gallery at Liverpool crown court.

Dad-of-three Doyle allegedly drove his Ford Galaxy minivan into supporters celebrating the Anfield club's Premier League title win with an open-top bus parade in May.

He is accused of injuring 21 adults and eight children.
