ON a day when he hopes to be crowned champion apprentice, Wayne Hassett (inset) might partner the progressive three-year-old Starford to victory in the Guinness 0.0 Finale Stakes on the final day of the 2025 flat season at the Curragh tomorrow.

The young Tipperary man has chances throughout the card, including Uxmal in the Group 3 Comer Group International Loughbrown Stakes and once-raced James J Braddock in the opening two-year-old maiden.

But Starford looks particularly interesting in the Finale on the back of his progressive rise through the handicap ranks.
