Finnegan's 'new level of depravity'

A MAN who was abused by the notorious paedophile priest Malachy Finnegan has received a settlement of €470,000, lawyers have said. 

Finnegan is alleged to have sexually abused children in the Catholic diocese of Dromore in Co Down across four decades before his death in 2002.

KRW Law, acting on behalf of the 51-year-old victim who wished to remain anonymous, said he had been abused over a three-year period in the mid-1980s when he was a student at St Colman’s College in Newry.
