Work on affordable housing making progress in east Hull

HOMES DEVELOPMENT IS TAKING SHAPE

A DEVELOPMENT that promises more than 60 new homes in Hull is beginning to take shape, councillors have been shown.

Social housing specialist Together Housing is working with contractor Esh Construction to build a mix of two, three and four-bedroom properties at its Ryehill Grove site, just off Preston Road.

Work stated on the site opposite the Freedom Centre, between Ryehill Grove and Wyton Grove, earlier this year.

Now councillors and officials from Hull City Council have been shown progress on the 65 new homes which include private gardens and parking spaces.

Cllr Paul Drake-Davis, Hull City Council's Portfolio Holder for Economic Renewal, Housing and Organisational Development, said: "I'm pleased that more affordable housing will be available in our city, including homes that meet accessibility needs of those who live in them.
