Hull City will go into today's meeting with Preston desperate to end a run of form which is threatening to see them fall back into the bottom three.

Tigers players must seize the moment - or be relegated

Their 1-0 defeat at Swansea City on Good Friday was as damaging as any of the other 19 this season, and leaves them with just a two-point gap with three games to go.

A horrific penalty call proved the difference as City produced yet another toothless performance in the first half, and while they improved in the second, failed to turn their pressure into goals, and ensure their supporters face a stressful final two weeks with a very real threat of relegation.

Same old problems

Let's not beat around the bush, as a performance, the first half was awful. The only saving grace was that Selles' defence did their job, but in terms of getting on the ball and causing Swansea any problems, they just didn't. It was rubbish, and had the hallmarks of a team destined for relegation.
