Rovers are left with kicking conundrum with Martin's return
Hull Daily Mail
|July 01, 2025
The return of Rhyse Martin was a welcome one for Hull KR last week as the back-rower made his long-awaited comeback after a four-month absence.

A quad injury has left Martin on the sidelines since the end of February. Still, he made a triumphant return to the field on Friday as the Robins defeated Wakefield Trinity, assisting the opening try as his offload put Tom Davies to the line for the first of his three tries of the night.
However, one notable aspect of his performance, or lack of, was the fact he wasn't tasked with adding conversions from the kicking tee.
A prolific goalkicker throughout his career, Martin was left to focus on the other parts of his game on Friday.
Instead, Arthur Mourgue retained duties from the tee, and he had a great game, nailing five from six, with the only blemish on his record being a touchline conversion which hit both posts.
