Plans to increase poultry farm

PLANS to increase the capacity of an East Yorkshire poultry farm have been approved by East Riding Council.

Under the recently approved plans, Goodmanham Grange will house 50 per cent more birds.
The application, submitted by R Stephenson & Sons, for the site North East of Market Weighton, was approved by the council in late February. The site currently has two poultry sheds, each housing 50,000 birds. The application sought permission for a third shed, taking the total capacity of the site to 150,000 birds.
