BRAVE WOMAN SPEAKS OUT AFTER BEING LEFT 'HALF DEAD' WHEN SHE WAS HIT BY SPEEDING DRIVER IN HIT-AND-RUN
A COURAGEOUS woman whose life was changed forever when she was hit by a reckless driver at speed in a hit-and-run incident in Hull has bravely shared her story and how she is "lucky to be alive".
On July 31, 2022, Danielle Foster, who was 42 at the time, had been enjoying a night out with her friends and husband when she was struck by an Audi A3 that was being driven at more than 45mph on Princes Avenue.
She subsequently spent 57 days in hospital, with severe injuries including a fractured back, a broken leg, broken ribs and a dislocated knee, and has undergone nine operations.
Nearly three years on, and Danielle said her life is "totally different" as a result of the horrific incident.
As part of Humberside Police's One Second campaign to tackle recklessness, distraction and poor decision-making behind the wheel, Danielle has spoken out about the impact the incident has had on her and her family's life.
