HALF-BACK HOPES GRAND FINAL DISPLAY EARNS HIM ENGLAND START

MIKEY Lewis is hoping his Super League Grand Final performance was enough to force his way into Shaun Wane's England side for Saturday's first Ashes Test against Australia.

Lewis was instrumental in Hull KR's win over Wigan at Old Trafford earlier this month, leading the Robins to a historic treble.

The 24-year-old won the Rob Burrow award as Player of the Match after a faultless show, scoring the first try and producing a strong kicking display on the biggest club stage, with the Hull-born talent hoping it was the final tick to put him in the front line to take on the Aussies at Wembley.

"Waney said I had a really good game," Lewis told All Out Rugby League.

"He said he likes me as a player and what I'd done well and what he told me to work on, I feel like I've done that.
