Kenny-Dowell leaves the Robins

HULL KR have announced that Shaun Kenny-Dowall has left the club with immediate effect due to personal reasons, bringing an end to his six-year stint in East Hull as both player and coach.

The former New Zealand international arrived at Sewell Group Craven Park ahead of the 2020 Super League season with close to 300 NRL appearances under his belt, making an immediate impact at the Robins.
He was appointed club captain ahead of 2021, leading Rovers to their first Super League playoff semifinal that same year and a Challenge Cup Final in 2023.
Following his retirement at the end of the 2023 season, the Sydney Roosters great transitioned into coaching at the club, and was later appointed assistant for 2025.
