Jakirovic praises McBurnie and makes defensive confession

SERGEJ Jakirovic has praised striker Oliver McBurnie but says his Hull City team have to sort out their defence to avoid wasting their potential, demanding his side become much more combative.

City have conceded 14 goals in their last six games, 17 if you factor in the three they conceded at Wrexham in the Carabao Cup exit, and it's holding them back.

McBurnie scored his fifth goal of the season to give City the lead at Watford and came close to making it 2-0 when his curling effort cannoned back off the post.

In the second half, City were poor and conceded twice to two poor goals against a Watford side who were booed off at halftime by their fans who chanted for manager Paulo Pezzolano to be sacked.
