HULL CALL ON ESE'ESE'S KNOWLEDGE OF PLAYERS
Recruitment is everything to a club's success, and in the midst of another big cycle, Hull FC know its importance.
They have signed eight players for the 2026 season, with a collective effort driven by Richie Myler hoped to bear fruit next year.
But while Myler is a key figure behind Hull's wheeling and dealing, there are many figures elsewhere that help weigh up decisions, from John Cartwright to Simon Grix, Andy Last, Gareth Ellis, and the club's chief analyst, Danny Blundell.
Blundell has a data system that can scout every rugby league player in the world, dependent on what position, area, or type of player Hull need.
But Hull's resource doesn't end there, with one member of the squad playing a key role in 2026's recruitment: Herman Ese'ese. The Hull prop is no stranger to many NRL players after a career that spanned five different clubs: the Dolphins, Gold Coast Titans, Newcastle Knights, Brisbane Broncos, and Canterbury Bulldogs.
