Gould delivers his verdict on England's Ashes displays

AUSTRALIAN pundit Phil Gould has given his verdict on the second England-Australia Ashes Test.

The Kangaroos ran out 14-4 winners at Everton's Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday, and in doing so, wrapped up another series with one game still to go.

Unlike other Australian-based outlets, Gould has given a more constructive assessment of England and where they need to be better, from their on-field attacking performance to their structure at club level and more.

Posting on X, Gould, the general manager of NRL side Canterbury Bulldogs, wrote: "Can't fault England's effort. They brought plenty of energy, physicality, and passion to the contest.
