Gorman hopes to put himself in the KR shop window

YOUNG gun Louix Gorman is hoping his last- minute loan appearance for Salford Red Devils will help put him in the frame for a Hull KR place in the near future.

The talented 20-year-old made just his second Super League appearance against Leigh, two years after debuting for Hull KR against Wigan.

Gorman has featured in the Championship this season with Featherstone and London Broncos, but was given a topflight opportunity under Paul Rowley, as Salford brought in nine loanees to fulfil Friday's fixture at Leigh Sports Village.

He was part of a Rovers trio to agree short-term loan moves, alongside Leon Ruan and new signing Rowan Milnes. Neil Tchamambe, currently on loan at Wakefield, also featured on the wing.

“It was really last minute,” Gorman explained.

“I found out on Tuesday, and I went down to captain's run on Thursday and that was it.
