MP SEEKS ANSWERS OVER QUEENS GARDENS DELAYED OPENING DATE

- By ANDREW SPENCE

'Disappointing for residents and city centre businesses'

A HULL MP has written to the leader of Hull City Council to express disappointment after the Queens Gardens’ reopening date was pushed back to spring 2026.

Last month, Hull City Council confirmed that the Queens Gardens redevelopment project is now due to be completed by spring 2026, after having committed to a “late 2025” completion date just a few weeks prior.

The Labour MP for Hull West and Haltemprice, Emma Hardy, has since written to the council leader, Cllr Mike Ross, seeking reassurance that the recent delay to the gardens' reopening will be the last.
