LOUIE Barry says the relationship he built up with Ruben Selles during their brief spell together at Hull City was key in him joining Sheffield United.

Barry spent the second half of the season on loan at City under Selles’ tutelage, with the Spaniard opting to sign the former Barcelona youngster instead of Sorba Thomas in January.
Unfortunately, for Barry, Selles and City, the Sutton Coldfield-born ace suffered a knee injury in his fourth game at Sunderland, which ruled him out for the rest of the campaign.
