Artist's design features on special edition of TV Times

AN East Yorkshire artist said she was thrilled to have her work featured on the front of the TV Times.

Eleanor Tomlinson, who is from Willerby, was chosen to have a special VE Day 80 illustration appear on this week's national TV listings magazine.

Her design is a back view of King Charles in Naval uniform on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, saluting a flypast by a Lancaster and the Red Arrows in formation.

Overlaid by the wording "VE Day - We remember the heroes 80 years later", Eleanor's picture also depicts crowds, bunting, Union flags and a single sentry of the King's Guard.

She said: "I was delighted to get the email from one of the TV Times' art directors, it was a lovely surprise.

"It seemed so out of the blue I did wonder at first, 'is it genuine?'. They have been delightful to work with, with a clear brief of what they wanted.
