A country split virtually in half after Brexit

WHY be afraid of something that hasn't happened yet.

If we look at the political scene over the last 30 years or so we will find that what politicians say and what they do are totally different things.

Tony Blair “opening our borders will only allow approx 8,000 immigrants per year”, really, WOMD enough said about that. Nick Clegg saying “we won't increase student fees” - they did. David Cameron about the Brexit referendum: “I won't resign if the vote goes against me.” He did. Keir Starmer: “we won't raise taxes and we have the pensioners’ backs.” The list can go on and on.
