TEENAGER WHO 'LOST HALF A TESTICLE' WAS IN 'FIGHTING MODE' CLAIMED POLICE OFFICER ACCUSED OF GBH

A POLICE officer accused of inflicting grievous bodily harm on a boy of 17 - causing the loss of half a testicle - had claimed the teen was in "fighting mode" but denied he'd kneed him in the groin, a jury heard last week.

In evidence at Mold crown court on the second day of a trial, Det Sgt Arron Hughes, a constable at the time, said officers had been outside the busiest venue at Bangor at “chucking out” time in the early hours.

He told the jury that a group of young men seemed unhappy about the force used to eject a friend.
