POLICE APPEAL TO OWNER OF VIDEO FOOTAGE

POLICE have released an update after a man was arrested on suspicion of assault following an incident which took place during a football match in Porthmadog.

The incident happened on Saturday during a match between Trearddur Bay FC and CPD Porthmadog and a video of the alleged assault was widely shared on social media.

The footage appeared to show a Trearddur Bay player elbow a player from Porthmadog who fell to the ground.

On Monday North Wales Police confirmed a 35-year-old man arrested in connection with the incident has been "bailed with conditions"
