Chess Grandmaster R Vaishali, and scientists Elina Mishra and Shilpi Soni were among the six women who took over Prime Minister Narendra Modi's X handle on the occasion of International Women's Day on Saturday to highlight the "the prowess of India's Nari Shakti" and its contribution in "shaping a Viksit Bharat".

In his monthly radio broadcast "Mann Ki Baat" on March 2, Modi had asked women across India to share their inspiring life journeys on the NaMo App Open Forum on the occasion of International Women's Day.

Subsequently, a group of six extraordinary women - chess grandmaster R Vaishali, farmerentrepreneur Anita Devi, nuclear scientist Elina Mishra, space scientist Shilpi Soni, accessibility advocate Anjlee Agarwal, and rural entrepreneur Ajaita Shah took over Modi's social media accounts on Saturday and shared their messages to inspire other women.

R Vaishali, chess Grandmaster

Vaishali has been playing chess since the age of six and is the sister of grandmaster Praggnanandhaa.

"Playing chess has been a learning, thrilling, and rewarding journey for me. But there is more... I want to give a message to all the women out there, espe cially the young girls - follow your dreams, no matter the hurdles. Your passion will power your success," she posted on Modi's X.
