Oppn intensifies attack on govt, Cong seeks Shah's resignation
Hindustan Times

The Opposition on Monday intensified its attack on the Union government amid fresh violence in Manipur, with Congress demanding Union home minister Amit Shah to resign and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to visit the strifetorn state.
-
Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh said that the Prime Minister "outsourced" Manipur to Shah, and that the Union home minister's singular achievement was protecting Manipur chief minister N Biren Singh amid the worsening law and order situation in the state.
"The [Union] home minister has not protected the innocent people, the innocent women and children of Manipur. He should take the responsibility and resign," Ramesh said at a press conference in New Delhi on Monday.
He urged PM Modi to call an all-party meeting on Manipur and meet the political parties of the state ahead of the upcoming Parliament session, which starts on November 25.
